A cold radiator usually has trapped air, sludge or a stuck valve. Bleed air from the top, and ask for help if the bottom still stays cold. A yearly boiler service helps the whole system.
Why a radiator stays cold
A radiator that is cold at the top has air trapped inside. Use a radiator key on the bleed valve until water appears. Then check the boiler pressure, because bleeding can lower it.
A radiator that is cold at the bottom often has sludge inside. An engineer can sometimes remove and flush one radiator. Several cold radiators point to a wider problem in the system, although a power flush is not always the answer.
